Interview with Mayhem Miller

We spoke with season 10’s Mayhem Miller about her new role in AJ & The Queen, a possible All-star return, and all things drag! happy reading! enjoy.

Hey Mayhem, you look amazing, are you ready to have a little chat?

thank you babe, of course

okay, so how does it feel today being here t the first RuPaul’s Drag Con UK?

It’s kinda surreal, I remember my first Drag Con just a couple of years ago and so now being in a different country celebrating what we have in the US is just fucking crazy, I saw the line outside and it was so long, all just to see some drag queens. I would’ve never imagined in the 19 years that I’ve been doing drag that there would be a convention for it, its crazy

So did you watch Drag Race UK?

I did a little bit

What did you think of it? did you have a favourite contestant?

Umm, (Laughs) well I do have a favourite but I probably shouldn’t say because I’m going out with the girls later for cocktails and I don’t want anybody to get mad at me, but I think all of the girls were amazing

oh so you’re giving us the pageant answer?

No (laughs) no its not a pageant answer, im just being a loving and kind girl, that’s who I am. I want to be a supportive sister. But honestly all of those girls brought something so special, way different to what we brought to the table. Their personalities, their comedy, the whit of it, it was just so fucking good

Now if you ever returned for an All-Star season what would you want to show fans that they haven’t already seen from you yet?

Oh my god. I would just show them a lot more of mayhem, I think on season 10 they didn’t get as much as they should’ve got, so I want to make up for lost time if I were to ever go back and give the fans exactly what they were waiting for

You recently had a cameo on AJ & The Queen, tell us a bit more about that!

Aj & The queen was fucking great. It’s one thing doing drag race, but getting to work with your idol and share a scene, thats beyond, you know? I would’ve never imagined working with RuPaul. Its different competing in a show, but actually being in a show with her as another scene partner was just great, a real dream come true

Our final question for you is as queer people a word we use with a lot of power is ‘Pride’, what does pride mean to you?

pride means history, you know? we have come such a long way and we are Conti using to come leaps and bounds and its just good to remember those who came before us, especially when pride season comes around, its good to look back and see where we are now and I love that

Huge thank you to Mayhem Miller, Drag Con UK and all of our readers for making this interview possible!
