We got to sit down with ALL STARS 4 winner Trinity “The Tuck” at DRAGWORLD 2019 and ask her all about her double crowning, the pageant circuit and what pride means to her. Check it out!
We are here with the one and only Trinity “The Tuck”!
Hello, how are you beautiful?
We’re amazing, thanks for asking! First off we wanted to give you a huge congratulations on winning All Stars 4!
Thank you!
Tell us, how do you feel about your performance looking back at it?
On All Stars I think I did great, I mean…I won. I feel like, going into All Stars I felt a lot more confident and comfortable with being on TV and being a competitor on a reality show than I did on season 9. I had a lot more control over what I was doing, so I knew what I was doing, so I feel good, I did everything I think I wanted to do and I don’t necessarily regret anything. My flaws were still my flaws from season 9 to All Stars, you know, the roast is just NOT my thing (laughs) but I feel like I’ve stepped it up in every other category.
So you and Monét both made Herstory by being the first joint crowned queens, and I personally loved your reaction in the video WOWpresents posted. What was going through your mind when you finally understood that you had both won?
Well, with the reaction you saw, at first I didn’t understand what was happening because I couldn’t really hear that well, and we didn’t film a double crowning so, to me and Monét, that wasn’t even an option, so when Rupaul said “You’re both winners” I was like ‘What? what’s happening’, and then when she said “You both win $100,000” it sunk in and I was like ‘Oh my god we both just won’. Thats when I got excited but at first I think we were both just a little confused. it was very confusing.
Being a former pageant queen, which did you find tougher? Drag race or the pageant system?
I think, competition wise, both are extremely hard, and completely different. Pageants are very structured and whoever does the best wins, there’s not much Leigh-weigh of ‘oh she did really well at this but not that’ or ‘You beat the other person but you weren’t the best’. But with Drag Race it is a reality show, so there’s a lot of twists that would never happen in the pageant world. They’re completely different but both are extremely hard.
What has been the biggest difference coming off of Season 9 as a top 4 queen to All stars as a winner?
Well obviously winning (laughs). I think that after I left Season 9, and you know I love my Season 9 sisters, especially the top 4 were all great, but I definitely felt vindicated winning all stars ill say that.

So what’s next for you and your career? Something you want to achieve that you haven’t yet?
I think I just want to focus on building my brand more, I want to do more TV, movies, music, travel. I just want to continue building my brand, I think that’s the only thing as queens we can really ask for. I mean, I’m totally open to a lot of things so we’ll see what happens.
And my final question is, as queer people a word we use with a lot of power is “PRIDE”. What does pride mean to you?
Pride to me means confidence in who you are, no matter what. Being LGBT+ we have always been conditioned to not love ourselves and told that something is wrong with us, and thats not okay, we have to remember that it’s okay to be who you are, its okay to be what you feel on the inside and to express that and you should always be proud of who you are and be proud of the skin that you’re in and just to love yourself!
A huge thank you to Trinity “The Tuck”, Dragworld and Faye Maltby
